Best Bathroom Faucets

Delta Faucet 567LF-PP Lavatory Faucet-Best Bathroom Faucet Review

Are you looking for a new bathroom faucet?

Whether as part of a renovation, or to replace one that’s leaky, broken or just plain ugly, faucets are something we usually take for granted till we need to buy one.

While a bathroom faucet may seem like a small, minor detail, its importance should never be underestimated as it’s an essential item that has to withstand heavy usage multiple times every single day.

You want to make sure you choose a faucet that not only looks good (since you’re going to have to look at and use it daily), but is also durable to provide you and your family with years of long-lasting, trouble-free service.

Having a durable faucet will mean long term hassle. A good faucet can help you prevent unnecessary problems such as irritatingly poor water output, leaks, time and money-wasting faucet replacements.

I’ve learnt my lesson after the cheap faucet in my ensuite broke a couple of years ago. It turned into a fountain that spewed water all over the bathroom! Thankfully I discovered it and managed to turn off the mains before the master bedroom (and wood floor) got flooded! But the screaming wife and desperate driving round town looking for a new faucet is something I never want to go through again!

Best Single Handle Bathroom Faucets

When searching the internet or any market for faucets, one can be overwhelmed by the number of models to choose from. To make your search for the best bathroom faucets easier, we have shortlisted and reviewed these bestselling and highest rated bathroom faucets.

Greenspring Single Handle Bathroom Sink Faucet Stainless Steel Basin Mixer Tap

Greenspring Single Handle Bathroom Sink Faucet Stainless Steel Basin Mixer Taps,Chrome Finish-best bathroom faucets by The Wiser Buyer

Customer Rating

You might be tempted by the cheap price of this faucet, but we do not think it's worth the potential problems.

The cheapest faucet at the time of writing at under $20, this Greenspring Bathroom Faucet has a simple, modern design, but quality control can be be lacking.

This faucet is cheap if you only need a 1-to-1 replacement for an existing single handle faucet and do not need a sink stopper. Part of the reason it's so affordable is that the price does not include a sink stopper, unlike many other more expensive faucets that come in a set. If you also want a sink stopper, have a look at this pop-up stopper.

Specifications:

  • Stainless steel with chrome finish
  • Standard 3/8 inch threads for easy installation
  • Height: 172mm (6.77")
  • Spout Height: 90mm (3.54")
  • Spout Length: 85mm (3.3")

Finally, the faucet comes with a 30-day money back guarantee and a lifetime breakage warranty, but due to the high number of leakage complaints we think the potential hassle of premature replacement and possible water damage to carpentry from leakage is not worth the risk.

You get what you pay for, which in this case is not a good thing!

Pros

  • Easy installation
  • Very cheap
  • 30-day money back guarantee
  • Lifetime breakage warranty

Cons

  • Quality control issues
  • Prone to internal leaking and corrosion
  • Does not include sink stopper

Delta ARA Faucet 567LF-PP Modern Single Handle Lavatory Faucet

Buy Delta ARA Faucet 567LF-PP Modern Single Handle Lavatory Faucet-Best Bathroom Faucet Review by The Wiser Buyer

Customer Rating

Delta is a brand that we like. Delta airlines is rated the most reliable American airline with the highest percentage of on-time flights. Although they are not related, Delta faucets share both the same name and same great quality as their more famous namesake.

This Delta faucet has modern lines and is available in either Stainless Steel or Chrome finish.

It will only fit a single hole sink, not a 3-hole vanity, and comes with a pop-up drain assembly.

Pros

  • Delta quality
  • Modern design
  • Complete set includes pop-up drain kit

Cons

  • Fits only single hole sink.

Eyekepper Modern Waterfall Bathroom Sink Faucet

Eyekepper Modern Single Handle Waterfall Bathroom Faucet Review-The Wiser Buyer

Customer Rating

If you’re looking for a bathroom faucet that stands out from the crowd, the Eyekepper Modern Waterfall Bathroom Sink Faucet can be a good choice.

This faucet comes in multiple color options including brushed nickel, chrome, gold, oil-rubbed bronze and white. It's our recommendation for a budget single handle faucet with a waterfall spout.

The unique feature of this faucet is its waterfall type spout. If you dig the waterfall design, then this is an option worth considering. We think it looks pretty cool!

The main caveat with this design is that a small amount of water might pool on the spout after each use. This could be a problem if you live in an area with a mosquito breeding problem AND don't use the faucet daily. However if the faucet is constantly used everyday, this should not be an issue.

Besides the waterfall spout, this has the expected features of a hot and cold mixer - a contemporary chrome finish, ceramic valve, brass spout and body, and zinc alloy handle.

This bathroom faucet is made to be compatible with a sink hole diameter from 1.3 to 1.77 inches and fits a single hole. It has center set lever or handle that allows for an easy surface-mounted installation.

It's also worth noting that the Eyekepper will fit both 1 and 3-hole sinks as it comes with a wide metal baseplate that can cover the holes if you need it to fit a 3-hole sink.

The 2.8 lbs. faucet has a 7.57 L/min (2 GPM) flow rate, 4 in (H) x 5 in (L) x 2.4 in (W) spout dimensions and 7.3 in x 3.9 in x 5.7 in dimensions for the entire product.

Finally, the faucet has a 30-day money back guarantee on top of the lifetime warranty for breakage.

Pros

  • Easy installation
  • Low cost, money-saving option
  • Unique spout design
  • Fits single or 3-hole sinks
  • Quality material
  • 30-day money back guarantee
  • Lifetime breakage warranty

Cons

  • Water might pool in spout
  • No built-in drain stop
  • A bit louder waterflow than some other faucets
  • Easy to damage the connecting hose due to its unique nature
  • Does not include sink stopper

Pfister LF042JDKK Jaida Single Control 4" Centerset Bathroom Faucet, Water-Efficient Model

Buy Pfister LF042JDKK Jaida Single Control 4" Centerset Bathroom Faucet-The Wiser Buyer

Customer Rating

If you are want a waterfall faucet and are will to pay more for something that's better than the Eyekepper, then this go for this.

The Pfister waterfall faucet is higher quality and looks classier. It's available in your choice of Brushed Nickel, Chrome & White, Polished Chrome, and Tuscan Bronze to fit any decor.

Pfister faucets come with their Pforever Seal - a ceramic valve technology with a never leak guarantee.

Another big plus point of the Pfister over the Eyekepper is its curved spout, which prevents the Pfister from having the Eyekepper's water pooling problem.

Another good thing is that it comes with an included deckplate that makes it compatible with both 1 or 3 hole installation.

Finally, this Pfister comes in a complete set that includes a sink stopper with Pfister's Push & Seal drain that "requires no tools and installs in less than half the time of a standard pop-up drain, guaranteed tight seal each and every use - simply press to seal and again to open."

Pros

  • Easy installation
  • Unique spout design
  • Fits single or 3-hole sinks
  • High Quality material
  • Complete set includes sink stopper
  • Lifetime warranty

Cons

  • An extremely small number of customers have defective units, but the defect rate is much lower than comparable brands.

Customer Rating

This bathroom faucet has a contemporary design that will fit beautifully in a modern bathroom with its clean lines.

It looks equally elegant in either a glossy Chrome, or Oil-Rubbed Bronze finish.

The one caveat with this faucet is that there is no manufacturer warranty. However the reasonable price point ($60 to $70) makes this faucet an exceptional good value buy. It also has good user feedback with not a single negative review or problem so far.

This model is very easy to install and many users have found DIY setup a breeze.

  • Easy installation
  • Elegant contemporary design
  • 100% positive 4 & 5 star reviews

Types of Faucets

There are three major types of faucets: single handle, two handle, and widespread.

Single handle center-set faucet

This is the most common and classic type of faucet which evolved and acquired different styles through years. This type of faucet has a knob that is usually a part or component of the faucet spout itself. Also, both the cold and hot water are controlled by a single lever or handle, thus the name of the faucet. The best bathroom faucets adopt this type of style because the single lever makes it easier to control and to maintain the water temperature.

Two handle center-set faucet

The second type of faucet has two valves that are connected and combined at the base of the faucet. A spout, which is usually located in between the two valves, is also connected to the faucet’s base.

Widespread faucet

This is the third type of faucet. This type is similar to the two handle center-set faucet in that it has the water spout in the middle of the hot water valve and the cold valve. However, unlike the two handle center-set faucet, this type of faucet has no base for the spout and the two valves to stand on. Instead, the spout and the two valves are separately mounted on the countertop, so it needs three holes for installation. The third type leads the race when it comes to elegance and flexible placement, but it is more expensive (usually twice the price) than the two other types.

Sinks and countertops can usually be customized to fit all the three faucet styles but not all countertops and pedestals allow customization. It is therefore important to consider the countertop’s hole configuration or ability to accommodate drilling holes before choosing the type of faucet one wants to use in the bathroom or the kitchen.

Bathroom Faucet Features to Consider

Whether it is for bathroom or kitchen use, the basic features to look for in faucets are the same.

The best kitchen or bathroom faucet is one that has a durable performance, easy operation and distinctive style with less water consumption. The detailed features to look for and to consider are the following:

Faucet Spout Type

A faucet will not be complete without a spout. A spout can either be aerated or non-aerated. An aerated spout would mean that water is also mixed with air to achieve a lower flow rate and, as a consequence, lower water consumption. On the other hand, a non-aerated spout would mean that water is flowing freely from the faucet.

Faucet Handle

There are many types of handles when it comes to faucets but the ultimate goal for each and every type boils down to this: easy grip and easy turning. There are four common faucet handles and the round handle, the least expensive and most common type, is considered the classic.

The cross handle is good when one is going for a contemporary or vintage look. Also, the lever handle offers the easiest grip and turn.

Finally, when it comes to technology and advancement, the touchless electronic handle leads the race. The electronic handle is also helpful in saving water because it automatically shuts off in the absence of motion.

Faucet Valve

If long-lasting performance and easy operation are the focus of the faucet, the valves play a major, if not the biggest, role. This is due to the fact that the faucet valves control the water flow.

A faucet valve is usually categorized into two types: compression valves and washerless valves. The compression valves are the most common type but the downside comes in when the washer starts to wear out because of leaking or dripping.

The other type is the washerless valves that can either be ceramic-disk, ball or cartridge valves, which can give better performance.

Sink Configuration

If the goal is to have a new bathroom or kitchen sink then the sink configuration is not as important factor as when the purpose is to replace the old sink faucet. When it comes to replacement, it is important to take into consideration the sink configuration because drilling holes into the countertop or the sink can be difficult.

Faucet Design and Style

It is important that the faucet style should complement the overall theme of the bathroom and the kitchen. In achieving a contemporary theme, it is best to choose a faucet has a sleek design, geometric shape, and smooth angles. If you prefer the vintage or traditional look, consider two handle faucets in a vintage oil-rubbed bronze or classic chrome finish.

Faucet Finish

This particular feature also says a lot about the character or the aura a certain faucet wants to project. As a rule of thumb, the faucet finish should be able to complement the wall, the background, and the tiles.

There are finishes that are good in preventing the faucet from tarnishing like a gold-plated finish, but they are also expensive. The chrome finish is considered timeless and attractive and can be matted, brushed or polished. The bronze finish, on the other hand, is good for well-used patina. The nickel finish is versatile and stylish and it can come in a brushed or satin finish.

Finally, although it is a little pricey, a stainless steel finish is good for preventing annoying water spots. Whichever one prefers, it is important that the finish complements the overall atmosphere of the kitchen or the bathroom.

Budget

Although some of the best branded bathroom faucets can be very expensive, thankfully there are also affordable, high quality choices that can give them a run for their money. The important thing to do before purchasing a faucet is to set a budget that one is comfortable with and able to spend. If you’re not fussy or set on particular “must-have” brands or designs, there are plenty of good quality bathroom faucets available.
